With the success of Layouts4free.com within the NPA Media network I have decided to take a new direction in the category of free templates and web content.

Currently Layouts4free.com offers thousands of templates designed by other template designers from around the globe for you to download and use for your very first website or to help you build up your business.

I am looking at breaking away from that and offering you the same type of content but uniquely design content by  the Layouts4free team and also the NPA Media Network team.

This will consist of not just free templates but high quality free templates, graphics, logos, articles & tutorials.

The site will still be broken down into categories to help you decide which design is right for you, but we will offer you more insight into each design. Some of the ideas on the table are the usual sliced and coded templates, but we would also like to offer you a few different choices in the one design like different colors to choose from, more graphics logos etc.

We will still offer the Premium High quality paid templates that you all have grown to love and still keep them at an affordable price.

I haven’t planned a time for the major change over as yet but am looking into the near future. We have a long way to go until we will be ready to make the change as we need to start building our arsenal of free premium designs for you.

I will keep you all posted as I usually do with all the updates as they happen on the topic.

In the past we just used to offer you good quality free customizable PSD file for you to download and use on your own designs. Now we can offer you loads more. we will still offer our free templates but we will also offer you free logos, free graphics, and also high quality tutorials  some of which will be on how we created some of our free content listed on the site!.

**Update**

As i Have currently been away from the office for the past few weeks i have noticed there has been no out come with our server glitch. I have contacted my hosts several times …  When i return it looks like i will have to try another approche to fix the situation.

Altho i am aware there is nothing wrong with the logos you can download from Layouts4free, I still need to go through each one and make sure there is no malware attached to any of the files not just for my piece of mind but for yours. It has been a long process removing the current files from the server and scaning all of the origional files to make sure that they are not infected. I am half way through the process at this stage and I am looking at having the logo’s relaunched by mid October.

I will also go through all of the logo pages to make sure that the script i created is not causing any confusions with googles google bot and with firefox’s version 3 browser.

I will keep you posted on any changes that do take place in the coming weeks as we start the process of uploading all of the files once again, And YES they will still be free for use (a link back is not required but would be nice to have some credit back on the work we do)

The first of the list will Be Freepsd.com then Wallpaper freebies (There are totally 229 pictures in 13 galleries, which are spread across 3 albums).

I also have a fair bit of work on the horizon for Layouts4free since the blocking from google on our free logo section but this should be back up and running soon with loads more logs along the way .

The new approach for the NPA media updates on my sites is for dedicated content even though I create most of the design I am will make sure that they will not be duplicated on every one of my sites. This will give you all a good basis of content and products to help you with your web design and graphics needs.

As my upgrades get closer to launching I will keep you posted.

I have decided to bring the site planning forward on our new design site. So hopefully  i will have the site up and running buy the end of this year.

I will keep you posted on any updates regarding the design and build of our new site.

Whilst I am fixing up the code with Layouts4free.com I will also do the same with freepsd.com, although due to other problems noted in IE6 with the way I have used transparent PNG images on the design and they are showing incorrectly as non transparent PNG I will look into another way of presenting the png images so that they don’t distort the total feel and graphical look of the new design.

But in saying that I have found the best way is to change over to Firefox or upgrade to IE7 or IE8 which will also be safer option for the security of your PC in the long run. But as 35% of most of our users to NPA media sites still uses the IE6 web browser I will look into other ways of presenting my sites.

Also note to IE 6 browser users and below I will also have a notice above each site header stating that NPA Media Sites are best optimised buy using a newer browser etc this notices will not be intrusive to the page design and flow of our sites but will act as a reinforcement of the problems associated with IE6

I am not currently aware of any other incapable browsers with our upgrades, but we are working on fixing this so that IE6 users can still browse our site.
For the time being I do suggest that users with IE6 and below upgrade to the newer version of Internet explorer 7 Download IE & or you can switch to Mozilla Fire Fox Download Fire Fox

If you decide not to upgrade you browser you will find all the content of our site will be situated at the bottom of the screen, and as I said before we will rectify this problem as soon as we can.

This is due to the difference in the CSS from IE 6 to IE 7

It’s an unfortunate fact that Internet Explorer will always incorrectly expand any dimensionally restricted block element so that oversize content is unable to overflow, as the specs require that content to do. I will be comparing IE/win’s way with the correct behavior as seen in Firefox. The W3C says a rigidly sized block box should allow oversize content to protrude or overflow beyond the edges of the sized box.

There is no real “fix” for IE/win’s incorrect behavior, except to work around or avoid it. There are several possible workarounds I will try to fix the issue and hopefully I can make browsing Layouts 4 Free easer once again for all of you who are using IE 6
